Community event coverage

Open Eyed Executive Services provided security support for the Debdale Sports Park Firework Night on 1 November. The event brought families, visitors and local residents together for fireworks, entertainment and food stalls.

With a busy public event, the security requirement was not limited to standing at an entrance. The team supported the organisers across the site so that movement remained controlled and restricted areas stayed protected.

What the team covered

The original event report records the following areas of work.

  • Crowd management and public safety
  • Entry and exit control
  • Monitoring of restricted areas
  • Visible patrols across the site
  • Response capability for issues as they developed

A quiet result is the right result

The event report records that the evening ran without a major incident. That is the standard organisers want from security: visible enough to reassure people, organised enough to prevent avoidable problems and ready to act if something changes.

Open Eyed supports public events of different sizes, with staffing and controls built around the site rather than copied from a generic package.
